History is another passion of mine and to pursue this passion I have decided to take this career path. To have an informed sense of the present and the future, knowledge of history is essential and with this in mind I intend to give you a lively account of Berlin’s story.

2009 I came to live in Berlin, at last, and the city of my dreams was snow-white and magical. Looking for a place in the cold and ice was less romantic though.

My initial Berlin experience took much earlier, in 2000, at the beginning of a new century and also in February, I came to Berlin for the Berlinale film festival. One night is still vivid in my memory: I had made my way through the Brandenburger Tor and was looking for the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. I got lost in the midst of the building sites until eventually I found the bus to take me to the place where I watched films from Africa.
